HOT AND HUMID! That’s the weather forecast for downtown Minneapolis over the next couple of weeks. We suspect that you are going to want to cool down with your favorite beverage. 1010 Washington Wine & Spirits should be your headquarters for Hard Seltzer (who saw THAT coming??), craft beer, delicious fruity white and rose’ wines (don’t forget about Summer Reds like Beaujolais, our personal favorite) as well as gin, vodka, tequila …just to name a few great Summer drinks. You aren’t going to want to take bottles to the swimming pool so we have you covered with cans of beer, of course, but also bag in a box wine and even a terrific cider!
Stay hydrated in the heat!
Switching gears for a moment, don’t forget that THIS SUNDAY is Bastille Day and we plan to celebrate the 230th anniversary of the start of the French Revolution with what we think is going to be a terrific tasting of some very good French wines at the store from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. We cannot taste wines from every region of France, but there will be selections from Champagne, Burgundy, Bordeaux as well as Languedoc. Please join us to sample and perhaps purchase some really memorable products.
In a short six months, you are going to be reflecting wistfully on this wonderful weather while we stoically freeze in the Minnesota winter. Take advantage of the warm weather because it doesn’t get any better!
Just remember drink plenty of fluids while you enjoy tennis, golf, the beach or pool as well as your favorite barbecue. We are hoping that you will get them from us!
