Ridge Vineyards is one of the most historic wineries in all of California. The Monte Bello Cabernet was a participant in the Judgement of Paris in 1976 and the first Monte Bello wine was produced in 1892. While they are known for their reds wines, they have been producing world class white wines, including Chardonnay, since 1962 as well.

The Ridge Vineyards approach is straightforward: find the most intense and flavorful grapes, guide the natural process, draw all the fruit's richness into the wine. There is no set way to make any wine, each harvest is treated differently and the result is usually amazingly good wine at relatively affordable pricing.
