When you think Spanish wine, one of the first wineries you think of is La Rioja Alta. This week, on Wednesday June 19th, at the Aloft Hotel in downtown Minneapolis, we are fortunate to welcome Rafael Momene, Export Director to the Americas from La Rioja Alta. Momene will be here to share more about the history and present of this winery, as we drink and learn together.

As stated on La Rioja Alta’s website, their philosophy has always been….

“Quality, elegance, innovation, evolution... They are the pillars on which the five founding families erected our winery in 1890 and built a way of living, feeling and producing wines of the highest quality that continue to evolve subtly, perfectly adapting to new tastes. Today they are an example of some of the finest wines being made in Rioja.”
